I have a beautiful soft plaster donkey, 3 ft long 2 ft hi, with a cart behind it, out in the front garden, a gift from my children. The rain has taken it’s toll on the paint of the donkey. I did purchase some exterior craft paints to touch up the spots then I sprayed it with several coats of polyurethane. However, continued rain, even hail a few weeks ago, pitted the surface exposing the plaster. What kind of paint can I use to protect the plaster and what coating or spray should I use to protect it overall? Thanks.
Thanks for the tip Precious Gem. It makes sense that whoever made it didn’t seal the plaster before painting it.

I have a ton of ideas for garden sculpture that works hard for plants. Anyone out there doing this full time??? How did you get started and how much money did you need to start? I have many of the tools necessary but no space to work in the winter. Once started how long did it take to turn a livable profit??? Where do you market and how do you sell???

Ok, so I saw this laughing buddha/hotei statue in a catalog once while looking at it with my girlfriend she really liked it. Her b-day is coming and I really want to get it, but we don’t have this catalog anymore and I can’t find the statue. I am hoping to find the name of the company that sends these catalogs out so I can call them or check their website and order it.

It was one of those sort of “yoga style” catalogs, not just yoga stuff, but a lot of clothes and items for meditation, etc. It sort of looked like a coldwater creek catalog in layout. And it was a garden sculpture, so it included those kinds of things. Does anyone else get these? Do you know the names of some of these catalogs and maybe I can find it. Whoever gives me the name of the right one first gets the best answer (of course)

New this year is the Sculpture Garden. It features works from 17 artists from across Canada who have participated in the first Kingsbrae Garden Sculpture Competition.

Could also use pattern or plans to make myself. Could use a drawing, any size, but must be in silhouette.

I’m looking for a sculptor to exhibit their modern garden sculpture in my front lawn, with plaque and all. I’m in Long Island, NY. Any ideas would be appreciated.
